This town is a great mix of feeling like you're really in the Dominican Republic with lots of culture but also a fusion of excellent cuisine, expatriates from Europe, and the most stunning beaches. There are plenty of Airbnb properties, along with hotels both in the main town and on neighboring beautiful beaches. Hayley's favorite activity is getting on an ATV and heading over for a full beach day at the Mosquito Boutique Hotel
Some favorites: Zu Ceviche (incredible ceviche, shrimp, etc. menu is a big surfboard but if you tell him what flavors you like, he’ll make anything... we LOVE the owner); Empendas y Mas, Dominican Thai Fusion Food (Hayley dreams about their coconut pad Thai fusion); Porto by Mosquito (further away but very vibey)... the list goes on!!!
Further northwest, this charming surf town has so much to offer — tan sandy beaches, organic healthy eateries, and a plethora of beach activities. It is known for windsurfing, kiteboarding and surfing.
Santo Domingo will forever hold a special place in our hearts. It is where Hayley and Joel met, where the Peace Corps headquarter is located, and where most of their love story unfolded! As the oldest European-founded city in the Americas, you will not regret adding one night here to visit its historic Zona Colonial, its rich culture, and its vibrant atmosphere !!
We can guarantee that no resort in Punta Cana will compare to Casa de Campo, but if you wish to extend your trip at another resort, Punta Cana is the place! Many many options to choose from.
